Diverse Learner Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Discipline Webinar

Our District's Diverse Learners Department will be hosting an informational Zoom Presentation later this month designed to help parents gain a better understanding of students’ rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) concerning student discipline.

The presentation will be held back to back in English and Spanish on February 20, with the English session beginning at 6:30 p.m., and the Spanish session following at 7:30 p.m.

During the event families will have the opportunity to learn more about the nuanced relationship between discipline and IDEA, and gain valuable insights into the protections afforded to students with disabilities. This session aims to simplify the information, ensuring that parents, educators, and advocates are well-informed about the safeguards in place.
