Action Items

The Board of Education voted to approve the Emergency Contract Amendment request from Preferred Meals effective January 1, 2022, and ending on June 30, 2022. The amendment's estimated value is $330,877 based on projected meals counts for the Spring 2022 semester. The request is necessitated by industry cost increases for food, packaging, labor and transportation for delivery of goods.

The Board of Education voted to approve the purchase of Little Bits-STEAM Coding Class Packs for students in grades K-5 to support the work of the EIR Grant during Q4 in the amount of $29,408. 

The Board of Education voted to approve the proposed contract to renew the current Follett Destiny Resource Manager and Library Manager for all sites within the District, managing library and textbook resources at a total cost of $60,791.

Personnel

The Board of Education voted to approve a permanent $20 increase in the daily pay rate for longterm and day-to-day substitute teachers, and also approve a temporary incentive program for day-to-day subs that would pay additional money for working Mondays and Fridays and for working each day during a five-day week.

The Board of Education voted to approve the attendance of Alicia Williams, Coordinator of Child Nutrition and Transportation, at the National School Child Nutrition Conference in New Orleans, LA, from April 17-22, 2022. The estimated cost is $2,468, which includes registration, travel, lodging and meals per diem.

The Board of Education voted to approve the Attendance of Diverse Learner High School Coordinator DyAnnah Butler at the Council of Exceptional Children Convention from January 16 to january 19 in Orlando,  at an estimated cost of $3,000.

The Board of Education voted to approve the attendance of District Nurse Coordinator Andreana Dobbs at the DISC Training and Certification Master Class virtually, on at a cost of  $2,625

The Board of Education voted to approve the attendance of the Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent and Associate Superintendent to attend the AASA National Conference in Nashville from February 17 to February 19 at an estimated cost of $2,700 per attendee.

The Board of Education voted to approve Nicole Stroup of the Lake County ROE to attend the TCEA Convention to support the work of the EIR Grant. The estimated cost is $1,950, which includes registration, travel, lodging and meals per diem.
