Waukegan Community Unit School District #60 has been awarded the prestigious "Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting" (CAFR) by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year ending in June 2023.

The GFOA noted that the District’s annual report met the program's high standards, demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to effectively communicate its financial story. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, marking a significant accomplishment for the District and its management.

This marks the sixth consecutive year that District 60 and its Finance team have been recognized with the CAFR.
