Washington Elementary School will host a Lake County Sectional Spelling Bee event on Wednesday, February 15. Nine students from Waukegan-area elementary and middle schools will compete for an opportunity to compete at the Lake County Spelling Bee Finals.

The sectional bee begins at Washington Elementary, 110 S Orchard Ave, at 6 p.m., and will feature spellers from 17 area schools. Spellers advanced to the Sectional by winning competitions at their respective schools. A list of competitors is below (District 60 students in bold).
