COVID-19 in Waukegan Public Schools

The information below is a daily summary of COVID-19 cases impacting Waukegan Public Schools. Information on the dashboard is updated every 24-48 hours with the most current data about building impact bases and students receiving quarantine instruction.

What’s Reported

COVID Data: The COVID numbers listed on the chart represent cases that have been investigated by our building impact investigators (contacts tracers). These are instances where an individual who tested positive was in building one or more days of the contagion period. These cases may correspond with students or staff.  The dates listed generally correspond with the completion of an impact investigation by contact tracers.

Quarantine Instruction Data: The chart lists the number of students Districtwide who are designated to receive quarantine instruction on any given day. The data begins from the inception of our Quarantine Supports Plan on September 13, 2021, and generally includes students who are identified as close contacts to any COVID-positive individual, as well as those students who have tested positive for COVID. A student will typically show up in the count for 10-14 calendar days.
